Inferencing

 WALT - Make inferences using the clues in the text along with your own experiences to help you figure out what is not directly said.

   

 Reflection - I learnt that you have to read the text carefully, so you don't miss any details.

WALT - skim and scan information to write descriptive details about historical events.



Reflection - I like how I put a shadow behind my title.
I like how I added a clock for when it happened.
I wish I made my maps bigger, so you could read it.

Poem About Me

WALT - use descriptive language to explain our characteristic.
 
Reflection - I like playing with the fonts for MIA, as I made them with shapes and fonts.
I found it hard to find adjectives that match both my personality and name.

The Human Body

WALT - write an explanation about the human body.
 
Reflection - I found it really interesting that it is only fluid between your brain and your skull.
                     I found it very interesting that you can have a plastic bag for your stomach.
                      I found it really shocking that there are 206 bones altogether working in your body.

Our Brain Poster

WALT - use specific vocabulary that relates to our organ.

 

Reflection - I liked finding out that our brain is three times as big as the brain of other animals our size
                    I liked drawing our brain on Google Drawing.
                    I wish I had a more exciting border.

The Human Organs

WALT - label our organs.


Reflection - I like our background because it has a soft feeling.
                    I like how we had organs as a border.
                    I wish we had found a better human.

My Skeleton poster

WALT - name the human skeleton bones.

Reflection - I like how I put lots of the names closer to the skeleton than others.
                    I like my description about the clavicle one.
                    I wish I had found a skeleton in a better pose.

My Skeleton Sentence

WALT - use a text structure to write a paragraph.

Topic sentence - Our bones are made of three different substances.

Example - The three different layers of your bones are the cortical bone, spongy bone and bone marrow.

Xplain further - In the centre of our bones is the bone marrow. Bone marrow produces blood cells. The outer layer is called the cortical bone. The cortical bone is hard, strong and smooth. Below the cortical bone, is the spongy bone. The spongy bone is also hard and strong. It is lighter than the cortical bone.

Tie up - To eat and drink calcium helps keep your bones strong.

 

Reflection - I wish I realised that I did one with the teacher, because I ended up doing three!  

                    I like my sentence about the spongy bone.

                    I like how I put the Topic sentence.

Maui and the sun

WALT - infer characters, thoughts and feelings.

Reflection - I like making the poster about if Maui wasn't available.
                   I like how I made my people on the poster - Create
                   I wish I could of found a Maui picture facing towards us.

Katrina Rore

WALT - construct a biography about a famous person.
  Reflection - I liked making the drawing of Katrina.
                   I liked finding out facts about her.
                   I wish that she had more information about her online.

All about Princess Diana

WALT - research a famous person and find out their biology. 
 
Reflection - I never knew that Prince Charles dated Princess Diana's sister before her.
                   I never knew that Princess Diana died three years after their divorce.
                   I struggled with thinking of questions to ask her.

Reflection - I wish I wasn't rushed to finish.
